Credit Earning
Programs

Starting in Winter 2027, we will be offering a semester long, credit earning program to students in grades 8-12.

  • Each program is limited to 10 students.
  • We will spend time outside each day.
  • Student will focus on topics of their interested.
  • One day a week is through e-Learning at home. 
  • Students will complete 110 hours of learning time for each course over the semester.
  • Assessments will follow the expectations in the Growing Success document published by the Ministry of Education.

Reach Ahead (Grade 8 Students)

Students in grade 8 will earn…

  • De-streamed English (ENL 1W)
  • De-streamed Geography (CGC 1W)
  • Numeracy Practice
  • First Nations Art (NAC10)
 
*Your student will start high school ahead of schedule and arrive in grade nine with three credits.  Read More Information…

Independent Living

Students in High School will earn…

  • Personal Life Management (HIP 40)
  • The Literacy Course (OLC 40)
  • Designing Your Future (GWL 30)
  • Interdisciplinary Studies (IDC 40)
 
*Your student will practice life skills, learn financial literacy, complete a mini-co-op and work on a semester long project that is individually developed. 
 

Creative Minds

Students in High School will earn…

  • Exploring the Arts (AEA30)
  • Media Arts (ASM 30)
  • The Literacy Course (OLC 40)
  • Interdisciplinary Studies (IDC 40)
 
*Your student will engage with community artists, learn about all the arts (fine art, drama, music and dance) and work on a semester long project that will be part of a Artist Showcase. 
 

Social Justice

Students in High School will earn…

  • Canadian Identity (CHI 4U)
  • Canadian Law (CLN 3/4U)
  • Social Justice & Equity (HSE 4M)
  • Interdisciplinary Studies (IDC 40)

Your student will engage in debate, discussion, meet with community leaders and build their own non-profit organization.
